Jay & Ray Rock!
Born to Play!
Jay and Ray were born to play. Their passion for music comes from found childhood memories and families that encouraged and inspired musical learning. Ray first word was guitar (says mom!) and Jay’s mother, who was a music teacher (K-6) and single parent, encouraged him and was passionate about promoting music since he was a little boy.
These roots have motivated Jay and Ray to create ‘Music for Everybody.’ The vision of their teachings is to ‘make learning music about joy’. Whether a class, party or school event, Jay and Ray’s performances are energetic, silly and fun, rooted in play based learning. It is an exploration of rhythm, melody and movement.
Both Jay and Ray are professional musicians and dads. They have individually been playing since high school, with a pedigree of touring the U.S., playing gigs all around the world, and advanced degrees in childhood education centered around music. Their inspiration for the program came from teaching and playing music with their own children and wanting to create something that was fun for the parents as well.
